LGBT & Allies March for Equal Marraige Rights

On Tuesday, May 26, 2009 the California Supreme Court affirmed the ruling outlawing gay marraige by its lower court. This legalization of bigotry infuriated New Yorkers for our California sisters and brothers -- and made us even more determined to pass marraige equality in our own state of New York. This first video is of the passionaite thousands who marched from Washington Square to Union Square last night. Second video of a few Jewish speakers.

Easy Website Forms with Google!

In another practical and useful development for non-profits, Google Spreadsheets now allows you to create and send forms for collecting information, feedback, RSVPs and more. All of the information input into your form is automatically collected in a spreadsheet hosted online so that everyone on your team can track the information as it streams in. If you haven't yet experimented with the new feature, Google user Lynnette has created a video with step-by-step instructions for creating a form. Another user, Bob, has created a video demonstrating how you can use notifications to find out when people submit information to your form. Even better, you can embed forms into your website.

All free with a free Gmail account (click for a free Gmail account).

Google Analytics: Web Analytics for non-profits

I think Analytics is a great tool for all advertisers, not just those with shopping carts or e-commerce, and as non-profits there are ways you can make analytics work for you and your organization.

But what is analytics? Analytics is a service that helps you understand the way visitors interact with your website by tracking traffic as it comes into your site, moves through your content and eventually exits to other pages. Analytics can help you understand and respond to visitor behavior while generating a higher ROI on marketing and advertising initiatives.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

People with AIDS crucified

A "crucified" AIDS activist with the words "VIH/SIDA emergencia nacional" scrawled across his abdomen wears a crown of hypodermic needles. At both the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of Health, he dramatically draped himself across the barred entry gates to each location, to show how many Mexican AIDS activists and advocates believe the apathy and inaction from the government becomes a death sentence for many of those living with HIV/AIDS.
