Websites Created
I led clients through the process of figuring out how to turn their mission statement and goals into measureable website goals, including needed functionality and design. I wrote all the HTML and CSS code. I cleaned up, and in some instances took myself, all the photos used in these websites. I took most video (but obviously not the very professional Noise). I actively maintain a few sites.
Vietnam Agent Orange Relief & Responsibility Campaign (VAORRC) This fantastic group, founded and fiscally sponsored by U.S. Vietnam veterans, exists to publicize and partner with the largest group of Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange in the Vietnam and the U.S.--the grassroots VAVA with a membership of 3000,000+! I created and maintain the VARRC website--with the help of many content creators and photographer members. We are an all-volunteer group.
Singin Wid A Sword In Ma Han The old Christian hymn, Singin' Wid A Sword In Ma Han, Lord, inspired this gripping tale of love and escape on the Underground Railroad. I made this website in an attempt to convey the power of the play, the slave-era spirituals upon which it was based, and the grassroots, award-winning play it inspired. This musical is still running through November 2009 in NYC -- try to catch it! After this sucessful run, Singin' and this website will be used for presentations to schools (I am using the Yahoo API to develop an interactive map and continuing to extend my interactive design skills). I maintain this website with video help from Cherrie Dillion, writing & support from Kath Saxby and Vienna Carroll and much photography by Whitney Browne.
Coca-Cola Anarchist This website promotes the memoir of an heir of Coca-Cola who lived a life far differently than he was raised. The memoir tells how life was in the early days of Atlanta, Coca-Cola, the continuing racism of current-day Atlanta -- and the roots of headline news in current Atlanta (The Altanta Olympics and the City of Atlanta vs. the homeless). This site uses multimedia to encourage a new generation of non-readers to read the book, as well as to enhance the books text for established readers. This site was particularly fun because it utilizes home movies from childhood -- (oldest color home movies I ever saw) and the author's irreverent personal and visual humor. I maintain this website.
